ISEZ Gets High Tech Underwater Drone

Ihu Special Economic Zone receives much needed equipment's for GIS activities.

The Ihu Special Economic Zone project office has received few high tech mapping equipments from Theodist today to start carrying out its GIS activities at the project site in Ihu.


The equipments delivered are for underwater tasks only, this includes the FIFSH V6 Expert (Underwater drone), Chartplotter & Sonar combo (Underwater scanner), and a laptop.


ISEZ Managing Director Mr. Peter Kengemar is excited and very determined to complete the task currently on hand.


“I am very happy to finally see this equipment’s in the office, it’s time to get out there and start collecting data, says Mr. Kengemar.”


The 15-years project is in its second phase of its program, and GIS activities is included as one of the objective that should be completed in this second phase.


With water equipments on board, the team are also looking into getting an Ariel drone as well from Theodist to do mapping and collect data on land as well.  


Mr Kengemar stated that the Ariel drone is another important equipment that will help a lot with collecting accurate data all throughout the project site.


The ISEZ management team are now formulating a schedule for a team to travel to the site and start collecting data with the underwater equipments.
