ISEZ backs Miss Gulf 2025 contestant Naire Kivovia with K15,000 sponsorship, championing community empowerment, cultural pride, and inclusive change.
From May 1st to May 7th, the ISEZ office hosted a high impact six-day workshop presented by lecturer and project management expert, Mr. John Kagl. The initiative, by the Management team, was aimed at enhancing the team's understanding of project management principles and their practical applications.
Due to the size of the team, the workshop was conducted in two separate sessions: May 1st to 3rd, for the first group and May 5th to 7th, for the second. This structure ensured that all 18 participants had a meaningful, effective learning experience.
Throughout the training, Mr. Kagl divulged deep into the importance of project management and provided invaluable insights into its role in driving efficiency, risk mitigation, and fostering collaboration. His sessions were structured to highlight key aspects of project selection, portfolio management, and leadership in project planning and execution. He said in one of his sessions, “In order for you to be successful in delivering your project, you have to be a FANATIC about your work.”
The workshop was greatly appreciated by the ISEZ team. Beyond individual growth, the training helped participants collectively identify existing challenges, equipping them with a clearer vision for improvement. Thanks to this initiative, the team now has a stronger foundation in project management, enabling them to streamline efforts, enhance communication, and direct their focus effectively to ensure project success.
To mark the successful completion of the workshop, the team gathered for a special luncheon at Fuigi, where Mr. Kagl joined them in celebration.
The success of this workshop marks a significant milestone in ISEZ’s commitment to capacity building and strategic growth. With strengthened skills and a renewed sense of purpose, the team is now better equipped to do impactful projects across the SEZ. The momentum generated here promises lasting improvements, and this is just the beginning.
